Thus, the admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will also be made through NEET.

Admissions to all seats of Undergraduate Medical Courses will be done through NEET (UG) – 2020. This will be the only going forward too.

**********************************************

Dear Students who are in Class IX, X currently (and their parents),

When you are going to take admission for Medical Entrance Coaching, please note the change that has taken place in NEET from 2020 onwards. Do not fall in the trap of Marketing talk of coaching institutes selling variants to the NEET coaching, All-In-One Coaching, etc. and hence charging an exorbitant sum of money!

NEET Syllabus remains the same, Question Paper Pattern remains the same, Basic Reference Textbooks remain the same. Sure, difficulty level of the exam would change as there will be more competition now! {NEET 2020 Information Brochure}

NEET 2019 Exam – Biology Section – Mapping to NCERT Textbooks

Dear Aspirants of NEET 2020,

NEET 2019 Examination was completed on 5th May 2019. NTA has conducted its first NEET Examination. First time the examination was conducted in the afternoon slot from 2 PM to 5 PM. The official answer keys are yet to be released. However, most of the coaching institutes have already released their version of the answer keys.

As NTA was conducting the NEET examination, there was a major perception created by the coaching institutes that NCERT books would not be important! It so happened that there are more questions from NCERT textbooks (Biology and Chemistry combined) this year as compared to previous couple of years! This has naturally made the paper much easier than the last 2 years.

Looking at the marks, the smart kids now-a-days are scoring in CBSE, ICSE, ISC, JEE Main; especially in the year 2019; one need not be surprised to see the NEET 2019 topper crossing the 700 mark out of 720 marks for the first time in NEET’s history! Also, at 600 marks one may see the All India Rank (AIR) around 3000! BEST WISHES TO ALL FOR THE RESULTS which would be coming sometime in First week of June.

For all those who are preparing for the NEET 2020 examination and beyond, I have come back with the Biology question paper mapping to the NCERT textbooks. Before going to the 2019 question paper, let me point out to all of you about the mapping exercise that I had done for the 2018 and 2017 Biology Section of the Question Paper.

******************************

In 2018, I had taken the Code – PP NEET question paper for the mapping exercise. {Credit and Thanks to Allen Career Institute for this question paper} The Biology Section of the Question Paper can be accessed from the following link —> NEET 2018 – Code PP – Biology Section

One can see this mapping in my earlier post at the following link ==>

In 2017, I had taken the NEET question paper and mapped the Biology section questions to the NCERT text books. For that mapping exercise I had taken the Code – Y question paper of NEET 2017 for the mapping exercise. {Credit and Thanks to SriChaitanya Institute for this question paper} The same can be accessed for your reference from the following link —> NEET – 2017 : Code Y Question Paper

One can see this mapping in my earlier post at the following link ==>

NEET 2017 Question Paper – Biology Section – Mapping to NCERT Textbooks

********************************

Coming to the NEET 2019 question paper. I have referred to the question paper code R3 for doing the mapping exercise. This question paper can be obtained from the Resonance website at the following link —->  NEET – 2019 : Question Paper – Code R3

The Biology section questions mapping to the NCERT textbooks of Class XI and XII is shown in the following tables. 84 of the 90 questions are directly in the textbooks. The remaining 6 questions (* Higher Class Textbooks comment in the tables below) need a little extra studies beyond the NCERT textbooks.

NEET 2019 - Code R3 - Biology 1 of 3

NEET 2019 - Code R3 - Biology 2 of 3

NEET 2019 - Code R3 - Biology 3 of 3

So Dear Aspirants please ensure that the NCERT Biology text books of classes XI and XII and Exemplar books are your true companion in your pursuit of NEET Examination Success! Minimum 75 questions out of 90 questions target (300 Marks in Biology Section!) can be achieved by just these books. After reading NCERT textbooks, you should definitely go for higher (college level) books or your coaching institute material.

Best Wishes to all of you
